In June 2026, the Natick Boston Interiors location unveiled the first and only Four Hands gallery in New England. To help differentiate the product on showroom floors, I took the initiative and redesigned the Boston Interiors product tags. They were designed to have the familiar Boston Interiors signage feeling while being distinctive to show that the product is part of a special collection.
The tag designs were reviewed by the Marketing and Buying departments, along with the company President and Four Hands representatives, and approved for official store usage. The design was adopted by the marketing department, with small changes, and the tags were sent to all stores that carried Four Hands product.
Initial Design Mockups
I approached the design process to keep the tags as similar as possible to the existing Boston Interiors products tags, yet different enough to be discernible as part of a distinct collection. I streamlined the product information to highlight only the most pertinent information for clients, and organized it in an easy to read manner. I then carefully chose a font for the product name that conveyed a high-end feel that Four Hands is known for. Each product had three versions to show the different sale price points. They also included the leaf logo to show that the item at hand was sustainably made.
Final Design
My tag design mockups of the Matthes Console Table and Orwell Display Cabinet were then sent to the Boston Interiors Marketing and Buyer teams for review. They were reviewed and approved by both teams, and faced a final review with the company president and representatives of Four Hands. My design was approved, and altered slightly to fit with the guidelines for the new collection. The sale price versions were dropped, as all items within the collection stocked by Boston Interiors were to be excluded from all promotional sales.
The design was then printed, and rolled out to all stores carrying Four Hands products. The tags were showcased with the new gallery at the Boston Interiors Natick location on June 10, 2026 at a grand opening event. The event was attended by members of both corporate teams, local designers and the lead product designer from Four Hands.
